The tower reopened to visitors on 27 May 2026, after the official inauguration on 26 May 2026 that followed its restoration, and it is back on regular visiting hours.

Closed days and closures

What can stop a visit.

Weekly and holiday closures

The tower is closed on Mondays. The year-round timetable lists 1 January, Easter Sunday, 1 May, 13 June and 25 December as closed days. Another version also lists 24 December. Do not plan a visit on any of these dates without checking first.

Bad weather

The administration keeps the right to close the tower when the weather makes safety conditions unreliable. This can happen at short notice. Look at the forecast the evening before, and keep the rest of your day flexible.

The restoration

The restoration under the national recovery programme ended with the inauguration on 26 May 2026, and visiting began on 27 May 2026. A short-notice closure remains possible at any monument, so check the timetable close to your visit.
