Belém Tower ticket prices in 2026

The regular ticket for the Torre de Belém costs €15. Children up to and including 12 years enter free. Every ticket is for a date and a time slot, so you choose both when you book. This site does not sell entry tickets. It explains the prices and rules so you know what to expect at the ticket desk or on the ticket portal of the monument administration.

Prices below are those listed in 2026. The base price is not always the final total, because a seller can add its own fees. Check the amount at the last step of the booking, and compare it with the base prices on this page.

Who pays less, and who enters free

Proof is required for every reduction.

Half price

The tower ticket is reduced by 50 percent for ages 13 to 24, for adults over 65 and for family tickets with at least one adult and one minor. That makes €7.50. Family tickets are sold only at the physical ticket desk, not online. Bring an ID, and ask at the desk if you are close to an age limit.

Free entry

Children up to and including 12 years are free. Visitors with a proven disability of 60 percent or more enter free, together with one companion. Unemployed residents of the EU can also qualify. These are not general tourist discounts, and you need the documents to prove them.

Acesso 52 for residents

Residents of Portugal, including foreigners with a legal residence, can use free entry up to 52 days a year. Since 20 August 2026 this can be booked online for both the tower and the monastery. The visiting rules ask for a document that shows your NIF. Tourists are not covered, and this is not a general free Sunday.

Timed slots and how to buy

Date and time are part of the ticket.

The tower admits visitors in half-hour windows, the first at 09:30 and the last between 16:30 and 17:00. At most 60 people are inside at the same time, and the daily limit is 960. Tickets are available on the ticket portal of the monument administration and at the physical ticket desk. Family tickets are desk-only. Arrive within your window, because the time slot decides when you enter. Opening days and last entry are on the opening hours page.

A guided tour does not remove the slot. If you book a tour that includes the tower, the tour fee, the monument ticket and the time slot are separate items, and a tour does not skip the capacity limit. Read what the tour includes before you pay. A package that sells tickets together with a guide is a product of the reseller, not a combined ticket issued by the tower.

The Lisboa Card and the tower

Free entry, but still a booking.

The Lisboa Card lists the tower, the Jerónimos Monastery, the Coach Museum and the Padrão among its free city attractions. It also covers metro, CARRIS buses and trams and trains towards Cascais, Sintra and Setúbal, which includes the train to Belém. The card comes in 24, 48 and 72-hour versions, and the hours start with the first use. Adult prices in 2026 are €31 for 24 hours, €51 for 48 hours and €62 for 72 hours. Children from 4 to 15 years pay €21, €28 or €35. The 2026 tariffs run until 31 March 2027. You exchange the online confirmation for the physical card at a desk in the city. More on the card is on the Lisboa Card page of our Lisbon guide.

For the tower and the monastery the card does not replace a booking. You choose a date and time, you enter the number of the physical card, and entry comes from a limited quota depending on availability. Buying the card is not the same as having a confirmed slot. Plan the tower early in your card period and book the slot as soon as you hold the card number. Boat trips are not free with the card, but some operators give a discount of 10 to 25 percent. Whether the card saves money depends on how many paid places you visit in the time it runs.

Belém Tower tickets: frequently asked questions

How much is a ticket for Belém Tower?

€15 for an adult in 2026. Children up to and including 12 enter free, and ages 13 to 24, over 65 and families pay half, which is €7.50.

Do children need a ticket?

Children up to and including 12 years enter free. Children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult. Make sure the child is included in your booking if the system asks for a ticket per person.

Can I buy tickets at the tower on the day?

You can buy at the physical ticket desk, which closes at 16:30. Entry is limited to 60 people at a time and 960 a day, so a slot on the day is not guaranteed, especially around midday. Booking ahead is the safer route.

The two sites are sold as separate tickets, €15 for the tower and €18 for the monastery cloister, each with its own slot. A package from a reseller is a different product. Compare what it includes with the prices above.

Is this the website where I buy the ticket?

No. This is an independent guide with no link to the tower or the public body that runs it. It does not sell entry tickets.
